Every challenge was met with a Yes--including evening out the concrete floors and using the proper window replacements. I again asked for a bid for a bathroom remodel in the same historic home. Once again, the results were excellent. The subcontractors that he uses are skilled and efficient. He stands behind his work and he understands "where the buck stops".

Steve finished our 1,300 lower level walkout to our immense satisfaction. Not only was his work high-quality, but he contributed several ideas to enhance the project. Everything was completed on-time and on-budget. (We had only one change by us from the original plan---which he also helped us with---to its implementation.) When contemplating our kitchen renovation, I called and asked Steve if he worked upstairs as well; the answer was yes. His crew then did the entire job with the only hitch being a supplier delay in wall ovens that eventually had a problem. (He graciously pulled out the bad one and installed the new one with minimal cost and hassle.) He also had a good contractor friend to demolish and rebuild our back deck. Bottom Line: Steve’s firm delivers quality work, on-time and budget, with proven ideas and friendly interactions. We would heartily recommend Basement Finishing Colorado and Steve Soell anytime!

The design that Steve, the owner, put together incorporated everything that we wanted into the initial plan. In addition, he made several other recommendations that really added to the finished look of our basement. The wait time for the construction to begin was just a matter of weeks. All of the contractors and subcontractors that Steve used were professional, knowledgeable, and quite easy to work with. Huck, our project manager was exceptional and so committed to making sure we were 100% satisfied with the results of their work. I would suspect as jobs go our basement build out was small scale, however, we felt we were always treated as if this was their biggest project. We were pleased with all aspects of the project - from design and materials selection, through construction and inspection, and even post-completion follow up and repair. As with all construction projects, things do not always go as planned. However, Steve and company were quick to respond with modifications, alterations, or suggestions to overcome the hiccups. For example, the wrong sink fixtures were installed - but it was quickly corrected. Steve and company were happy to work with us to achieve some re-use and re-storing of some old cabinets to both help save some cost and to be more environmentally conscious. Also - we made some very late in the game (after the room was finished) design changes that were easily and efficiently addressed at a very reasonable cost by the crew. A year after the installation, we had an issue with the tile work and a plumbing item. Although I was concerned about my out-of-pocket costs for these latent repairs, Steve had his folks come out and fix these items with no cost impact to me. Couldn't be happier - and - the basement simply looks great! I'm happy to recommend Steve and Basement Finishing Colorado, Inc. They did great work for me and - I guess the true test is - I have recommended them to my family.

Several months ago we were wanting to put an egress window in our basement so that the room would be safe and up to code for a bedroom. We got several estimates. The best by far was Basement Finishing Colorado, Inc. Not only did we find them affordable but they were remarkably efficient. The digging was done by an industrious young man, the owners nephew, I believe. The cutting of the wall was remarkably neat with little mess and almost no disruption to the room.
